Exercise haute couture
The secret for tailoring an exercise programme to the person’s specific needs is to develop an eye for detail, to become, first of all, an intelligent observer. A good instructor, like a good tailor, needs to observe and understand your posture alignment and your movement patterns of the body. These movement patterns are not always the right ones. The body is a very intelligent vehicle; it adapts to different environments and situations. Our muscles will adapt to an injury, to a postural misalignment, or to a sedentary lifestyle.
If you practice exercise routines incorrectly and in a body that is posturally misaligned, you will do more damage than good. Those incorrect movement patterns and the subsequent muscle compensations can easily become the root of chronic pain or an injury.
Rachele Dattila
Ivana Daniell BODY ID Method Ambassador, London
After a lifelong love for athletics and long-distance running, in 2012 some lower back issues lead me to The Pilates Method and made me start my journey to become a Pilates instructor. I qualified first as a Mat Pilates teacher with Peak Pilates. I decided later on to dedicate a full year to deepen my studies. I am today a fully qualified Pilates instructor with Alan Herdman, who set up the very first Pilates studio in London in the 70s. The in-depth knowledge and fascination for the Movement and Body Mechanics, brought me then to move on from the classic school methods to the innovative BODY ID created by Ivana Daniell. Since I met Ivana, I totally embraced her unique and revolutionary approach to intelligent and efficient movement. I am a proud mother of three children and an enthusiast of wellness and healthy eating. I like sharing my love and passion for Intelligent Movement with my clients to make them more aware and in charge of their body. My ultimate goal is to change people life as I have changed mine.
